Perth market snapshot for the week ending 11 December 2022

Sales activity increased 5.2 per cent in Perth last week, with REIWA members reporting 909 transactions.

A closer look shows house sales increased by 3.7 per cent, unit sales increased by 15.5 per cent and vacant land sales decreased by 9.4 per cent.

Properties for sale

There were 8,364 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is down 1.3 per cent compared with the previous week. This can be attributed to a 2.3 per cent decrease in house listings, 0.8 per cent decrease in unit listings and an increase of 0.7 per cent in vacant land listings. 

Last week’s total figure of properties available for sale is almost the same as levels seen four weeks ago but 9.9 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

 

Properties for rent

In Perth’s rental market, REIWA members reported there were 1,933 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is up 3 per cent compared with the previous week. Last week’s rental listings figure is 9.1 per cent higher than levels seen four weeks ago but 14.2 per cent lower than a year ago.

REIWA members reported 641 properties leased, which is the same as the previous week.

Sales data is annual up to the latest completed month. Rental data is year-on-year 3-month rolling up to the latest completed month. Data in this graph is revised as more transactions are settled.
