Perth weekly market snapshot for the week ending 7 January 2024

Sales transactions in Perth last week were 100 per cent higher than the previous week, with REIWA members reporting 434 transactions. A closer look shows house sales were 87.8 per cent higher than the week prior, unit sales were up 98.1 per cent and vacant land sales were up 211.8 per cent.

Perth’s highest sale price: Beeliar – $810,000

Perth’s lowest sale price: Furnissdale – $150,000

There were 3,633 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is similar to the previous week. This can be attributed to house listings increasing 1.3 per cent compared to the week prior, unit listings remaining relatively stable and vacant land listings decreasing 4.0 per cent.

Last week’s total figure of properties available for sale is 23.2 per cent lower than four weeks ago and 48.9 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

 

In Perth’s rental market, REIWA members reported there were 1,825 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is 20.2 per cent higher than the week prior. Last week’s rental listings figure is 7.4 per cent lower than four weeks ago but similar to a year ago.

REIWA members reported 317 properties leased last week, which is 120.1 per cent higher than the previous week, 50.7 per cent lower than four weeks ago and 9.2 per cent lower than a year ago.
