Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 17 February

Sales activity increased three per cent in Perth this week, with REIWA members reporting 578 transactions.

This increase can be attributed to a nine per cent increase in house sales, however unit and vacant land sales declined by eight and 11 per cent respectively.

Listings for sale

There were 17,169 properties for sale in Perth at the end of this week, which is 0.8 per cent more than last week.

A closer look at listing stock levels shows house listings increased by less than one per cent whilst listings for units increased by 1.7 per cent and vacant land increased by less than one per cent.

This week’s total figure is three per cent higher than four weeks ago and nine per cent higher than a year ago.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported there were 6,707 properties for rent in Perth at the end of this week, which is two per cent less than last week.

This week’s rental listings figure is six per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and 25 per cent lower than a year ago.
